Pierce Brown
The only thing you need to know about this book is I finished it within 4 days. The plot kept me up at night, reading through the night so I could see what happens.
Brown does a great job building up characters to surround Darrow, and making you feel like you can trust them before they betray. He does a great job displaying the horror the Golds are capable of and forcing you to hate them.
The only reason it does not rate higher is some of the plot felt slightly obvious, for example the ending.
